Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

 Our online shop (shop.justoneprompt.com)

Our online shop at shop.justoneprompt.com is operated by Just One Prompt LLC, 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000, Casper, WY 82609, USA. You can contact us about privacy at karim.salem@justoneprompt.com. This section explains what the shop does with your information. The rest of this policy applies to the rest of our website.

What we collect in the shop

Account information: your email address and sign-in details, handled through our sign-in provider, Clerk.
Purchase records: which product you bought, the price, the date and the payment status.
The email address you enter at checkout, which Stripe collects for the payment. We keep a copy with your order so we can link the purchase to your account.
Basic technical logs that are needed to run and protect the service.
Your privacy choices: if you accept or decline tracking, we record that choice (see “Cookies and your privacy choices” below)

How we use it

We use this information to sign you in, confirm your purchases, provide your library and downloads, give you support, keep our accounting records and protect the service. We do not sell your personal data.

Payments

Payments are handled on Stripe’s own checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.

 Purchases and your email address

If you pay but never link the purchase to an account, we redact the email address stored with that order about one year after the purchase. We run this clean-up periodically. Purchases that you have linked to your account keep the address for support and accounting. To ask for your information to be deleted, email karim.salem@justoneprompt.com.

Companies that help us run the shop

We use Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Bunny.net (video delivery, only when you press play on a video). We may also use Sentry for error monitoring, configured without cookies or IP addresses. These companies process information for us and may do so in the United States and other countries.
Cookies and your privacy choices in the shop
Necessary cookies keep the shop working: they support sign-in, your session, and appearance settings. They are always on and are not affected by your tracking choice. Payment happens on Stripe’s own page, where Stripe sets its own cookies.
When you make a privacy choice in the shop, we set a cookie called jop_consent for up to 12 months to remember whether you accepted or declined tracking. On your first choice we also set an anonymous cookie called jop_visitor_id, for up to 12 months, so the choice can be recorded without linking it to your account, email address, order or network address. If you close the privacy banner with the X, we remember that only for your current browser session, in your browser’s session storage. We do not treat closing the banner as a choice
At the time of writing, the shop does not run any analytics or advertising tracking. If we add it, it will only run according to the rules below.
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or we cannot tell where you are, no analytics or advertising tracking runs unless you choose Accept.
In other places, tracking may run until you choose to decline it. Choosing Decline stops it.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline everywhere, and Accept is switched off while the signal is on.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Privacy choices” link in the footer of the shop. Your choice is kept for 12 months, then we ask again.

Records of your choices

Each time you make an explicit choice, we store a record with a random visitor identifier, your decision, the time, the page you were on, the version of our policy, and whether the strict or general rule applied. The record contains no name, email address, IP address or account information, and it is not linked to your account or orders. We keep these records for 12 months.
Shop purchase and account records are kept while your account exists and for as long as we need them for support and accounting. Unlinked order emails are redacted after about one year. Records of privacy choices are kept for 12 months.
